Our computer lab is specifically designed to facilitate high-quality computer-based learning and instruction. Each of our labs features an instructor station at the front of the room, equipped with a computer, projector, and audio-visual controls to support comprehensive teaching and demonstration capabilities. The instructor station is positioned to provide clear visibility and engagement with all students.
This lab is arranged with small group tables or circular tables, each accommodating a handful of computers. This setup fosters collaboration and teamwork, allowing students to easily interact and work together on projects and assignments. Each table is equipped with computers featuring the latest software and tools necessary for various academic disciplines. The spacious layout of the tables ensure a comfortable and conducive learning environment. These computer labs are ideal for courses that emphasize collaborative work, providing students with the resources and support they need to succeed in their studies.
This computer lab is equipped with the 'Insight' software, installed on the instructor's station. Insight provides the instructor with comprehensive monitoring capabilities, allowing them to oversee all student machines in real-time. With this tool, the instructor can view student screens, track their activity, and even take control of a student's computer if needed. This ensures that students stay on task and receive immediate assistance when required. Additionally, Insight allows the instructor to broadcast their screen to all student computers, facilitating clear and effective demonstrations. This software enhances the learning experience by maintaining a focused and interactive environment, ensuring that all students can fully engage with the course material.
To use any of our computer stations in the room, simply sign in with your SacState ID and password and gain access to your U Drive and campus network and resources.
